The Ragdoll cat that holds the record for the most views for a cat on YouTube is none other than Puff from This little puff Youtube channel.

According to Guinness World Records, Puff’s YouTube channel has 7,532,180,184 views as of April 21, 2022. As of press time, the YouTube channel itself has 9.73 subscribers. The channel was launched in August 2020.

On Twitch, where Puff first rose to fame when his started uploading his videos there rather than YouTube, he has over 26 million followers. On Instagram, he has two million followers.

This internet famous feline is described by Tubular filter as “a two-year-old ragdoll cat who lives with her owner Lynch Zhang and their brother Ming, her mother Chocolate and her five littermates in New York City. The Tubefilter article adds that Puff is actually naturally curious.

Puff’s Rise to Internet Fame

Believe it or not, it all started during the COVID-19 pandemic. With the world on lockdown, restaurants had to close and Puff’s owner was forced to cook more at home.

“Whenever Zhang and his family prepared food, Puff would pop up in the kitchen, eager to feast his eyes on the cooking process,” Tubefilter’s article recounts. Zhang eventually noticed how often Puff appeared in the kitchen when it was time to cook and began recording short videos of the Ragdoll doing some of the cooking himself.

Because of this, the curious feline eventually transitioned from Puff to Chef Puff, as he is now known to many of his viewers.

“To create the illusion of Chief Puff, they would gently guide his paws (Zhang is very clear that they don’t force Puff to play and give him space if he doesn’t feel ready for the camera) so it looked like he was chopping fruits and vegetables, turning on the blender and arranging the ingredients,” according to Tubefilter.
